The Snack Report – Cookie Dough Oreos

So, remember a couple of weeks ago when I wrote a nice post about how good the new Oreo flavor is?  This post…won’t be like that.  A week after trying the Marshmallow Crispy Oreos, we tried the other new limited edition flavor, Cookie Dough. It would be fair to say that the experience was not as enjoyable as the previous one.  Let’s discuss.

The Snack Report: Marshmallow Crispy Oreos

I have a lot of respect for Oreos.  Their original, chocolate cookie/vanilla cream flavor is beloved by millions; they could easily rest on their laurels and do nothing more than make those cookies (and maybe double stuff too) and still probably make a bajillion dollars.  But they don’t let being America’s #1 cookie make them lazy.  They’re always coming out with new flavors to tempt our taste buds.  They currently have 8 flavors out (in addition to the regular one), with the two newest being Marshmallow Crispy and Cookie Dough.  We recently bought the Marshmallow Crispy flavor to try and let you know what we think.

Tea Time: Review Round-up

We’ve both been sidelined by a nasty cold this week (me the first half, Erik the second).  That means we’ve both been drinking a lot of tea, when we were able to work up the energy.  Tea is good all the time, but especially when you have a cold because the steam can help clear your nose, it can help soothe your throat, and it can help your insides feel nice and warm.  Since I can’t taste any food well enough to write about it this week, I’ve decided to write up a review of some of my favorite teas that I’ve been drinking instead.

The Snack Report: Brownie Brittle

After a month of eating Christmas cookies, I’m sure everyone is tired of them by now.  No?  Yeah, I’m not really either…but it’s still nice to have some variety in your sweet snacks, right?  So what should you turn to for cookie respite?  How about some Sheila G’s Brownie Brittle?  The snack up for review today falls into the, “why didn’t I ever think of that?” category.  Brownie Brittle is so simple, but so tasty.  It’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like – super flat, crisp brownie broken up into pieces like brittle.  It also has chocolate chips in it.

Apologies in advance – all the pictures are yoinked from the web, I forgot to take pictures myself before finishing them.

Snack Report: One Potato Two Potato Sweet Onion Potato Chips

If you’re anything like me, you sometimes get stuck in food routines/ruts (depending on how you look at it), where you go to the same place and get one of the same few things every time you go there.  This happens to me when I’m in the city for school.  So I got really excited last week when I was getting my usual sandwich before class and saw these chips.  I had never seen them before.  Not only did they sound delicious, but the package was adorable.  So I bought them and ate them with my lunch.
