Cheat Codes: Make Sticky Rice Easy, Using A Rice Cooker
Sticky rice goes by a few names, since it has a few different varieties with minuscule differences. Sweet rice, sticky rice, glutinous rice, etc… They all have similar food applications, and have odd cooking requirements that can make them a chore to bother with, when you can slap together a bowl of plain ol’ white rice in like 20 minutes. Fear not! For all you out there who own a rice cooker, there’s hope!
PCFG Gives Four Practical, Cheap, Easy Tips For Losing Weight!
So it’s no secret that America is really really fat. I know it, you know it, we’re all aware of it and yet the problem gets worse and worse every year. That said, trying to lose weight when you’re heavy, is a good thing, and millions of people struggle to try and lose weight every single day, to no avail. There’s eight billion different diets and weight loss programs out there, but personally, we here at PCFG are not fans of wonky regimens and huge, sweeping changes to diet. Both Meg and I have had to worked on losing weight at one point or another in our lives, so we’ve been there before. At the same time, we’re absolutely not dieticians or doctors, so any advice we offer is merely simple, practical advice for any of our readers. Food is slammin’! But so is self control! And obviously balance is the key.
Cheat Codes: Eat Pretzels With Peanut Butter
So I’ve gone on a few tangents here and there, before on PCFG about peanut butter being godly, especially when paired with pretzels. Specifically, one of the greater marvels of the 21st century we’ve been treated to is the invention of peanut-butter-filled pretzels. Generally, they’re nugget shapes, with a small dab of peanut butter inside. They taste amazing, but unfortunately are somewhat of a luxury item as well, since most containers/bags will run you close to $5.00, which is a bit pricey for something you can easily devour over the course of three or four days.
They’re pretty good, but for anyone out there who doesn’t like dropping five bucks on a single snack, there’s hope.
Food 101: How To Make A Glass of Lemonade
Summertime is the best, ya know? Unless you’re old and whine about the heat, there’s nothing to dislike about Summer. Beautiful weather, cool outdoors activities, great food and drinks, it’s a right-proper time of year. One of the most cherished, belovedly stereotypical drinks you might be thinking of, now that you’ve got this all on your mind, is good ol’ lemonade. Lemonade is the perfect balance between sour, sweet, cool, and refreshing. It’s simple to make, good for you, and it’s fun to joke around with your friends that it looks like you’re drinking pee.

“Ewww, haha, you’re drinking peeeee.”
The Snack Report: Watermelon Pop-Tarts
For as long as I can remember there’s always been this intense rivalry over Pop-Tarts VS Toaster Strudels. Pop-Tarts was the more “fun” toaster pastry, coming up with insane flavor varieties, like PB&J or hot-fudge sundae, that almost come close to Pizza Lab territory. Toaster Strudels meanwhile were the wholesome choice, containing actual fruit and being more of an actual breakfast food instead of a sugary-treat disguised as breakfast. Personally I never picked a side; I enjoyed both of them, though as a kid growing up, my mother never really bought Toaster Strudels for whatever reason. So you bet your ass that as an adult I buy them whenever I want! And while I still don’t hold any malice towards Pop-Tarts, I don’t eat them as often as I used to, usually only checking out new or limited edition flavors.
