The Snack Report: Campbell’s Super Mario Chicken Noodle Soup
There’s something about specially-branded/shaped foods of your favorite characters that just makes life that much more bearable. Many of you probably grew up, knowing the whimsy of seeing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle shaped mac ‘n’ cheese. And by whimsy, I mean “absolutely losing your shit”. Sure, these cherished foods aren’t always the healthiest option, but as a fun treat once in a while, nothing quite beats the feeling of putting your Batman into your mouth
Wait. That came out wrong. Or did it?
At any rate, I’d like to present the following for all our fellow Nintendo fans:
The Snack Report: Thomas’ Blueberry English Muffins
I feel like I start a lot of my Snack Reports with, “I was in the grocery store and saw this on sale.” But that’s really how I end up finding most of the stuff I review. Some foodstuffs I hear about in advance and seek out to review, but a lot I find while just wandering around the grocery store, and if it’s on sale, I’m game for giving it a try. So…I was in the grocery store the other day and saw these blueberry English muffins on sale. Actually I saw a different Thomas’ product on sale first, but it’s going to be on sale for longer than these are, so I ended up getting them first. I had tried the limited edition apple pie English muffins a few months ago and enjoyed them, so I figured blueberry English muffins were worth a shot as well; I like both blueberries and English muffins.

The Snack Report: ポッピン クッキン つくるう! おべんとう! Poppin’ Cookin’ Make! Bento!
I must confess something. I am a straight dude whom has fought in muaythai and karate, whom plays sports and video games, and whom has multiple badass tattoos… and yet, I am an absolute sucker for over-the-top cutesy adorable stuff. Puppies, stuffed animals, Kirby’s Dream Land, you name it. I am an unabashed fan of super cute stuff. So frigging naturally I would see this and go OH MY GOD WE NEED TO BUY IT…
The Snack Report: Quaker’s Safari Animals Oatmeal
In Meg and I’s ongoing quest to pretend we’re adults, we continue to fail in glorious, brilliant, new ways, ranging from tickle fights that lead to broken noses, to cookies ending up in someone’s underwear. This last week however we had another sterling display of why we’re both mentally 8 years old. While preparing for a party we were throwing, we ended up running late. In the process of buying some last minute groceries for said party, we walked into a store and told ourselves “Okay. We’re gonna be late for our own party. Let’s make this quick; we can’t get distracted.”
About two minutes in, we ended up sidetracked in the cereal aisle marveling at Batman VS Superman cereals, and then were stopped dead in our tracks mesmerized because there’s a new version of that dinosaur oatmeal, now featuring safari animals.

Editor’s Note: Meg has a Master’s degree from a top-ranked art design school, and I am certified by the State of New York to purchase dangerous chemicals and transport dying people to hospitals.
The Snack Report: White Strawberry Shortcake M&Ms
When I saw that M&Ms had a limited edition flavor that was out for Easter, I figured what better to post this week than a review of them? For some reason this flavor is exclusive to Target, which actually has apparently happened before but I’m just now finding out about. In doing some digging it seems that M&Ms has released a few different seasonal flavors to Target in the past. I am now kind of upset that I missed out on some potentially awesome limited edition M&Ms. But I found out about these ones! And since we happened to be driving past a Target the other day, I managed to obtain a package. They’re definitely being marketed as a spring/Easter candy since the green M&M is wearing bunny ears (unless it’s all some sort of elaborate Playboy ad, but I doubt it). Other than the pastel colors I’m not entirely sure why they chose to make this flavor for Easter. Strawberry shortcake is much more of an early summer dessert, when strawberries are in season than it is a spring one. Seasonally appropriate nitpicking aside, let’s find out how these M&Ms taste.
