Smoothie Sunday: Pumpkin Peach Smoothie
Well, this is the last Sunday in September, which means by this time next week it will be October. Which also means it’s the start of pumpkin season! Let this smoothie help you transition into fall. I used the pumpkin similar to how I used the avocado in the avocado mango smoothie a couple of weeks ago. And like that smoothie it came out pretty thick. But it’s definitely yummy, and a nice intro into fall breakfasts.
Pumpkin Peach Smoothie:
- 2 peaches, pit and skin removed
- ½ cup pumpkin puree
- 6 ice cubes
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp. ground ginger
- ½ tsp. ground cloves
- 2 tbsp – ¼ cup milk
- Pinch of salt
- Sugar to taste
Combine the first 3 ingredients in the blender until smooth. Add the spices and salt and sugar and blend well. This smoothie is pretty thick, so add milk a tablespoon at a time until smoothie reaches desired thickness. Taste and adjust salt and sugar as needed. Pour into a tall glass and enjoy!
Incidentally, this is going to be the last smoothie Sunday this year. But don’t fret. That just means I have all fall and winter to think of new smoothie ideas to implement next summer. I hope you’ve enjoyed smoothie Sunday as much as I did!
(And feel free to recommend new flavor combos for me to try next year!)

Don’t forget, there’s always Milkshake Sunday coming up for the off-season!
Maybe it should be Milkshake Monday, to keep the alliteration.
