Smoothie Sunday: Strawberry Mango Smoothie
I got the idea for this smoothie from a blended margarita I had once. It was yummy, so I figured the flavors in smoothie form would be yummy too. Obviously the smoothie doesn’t have alcohol in it. Though I suppose if that’s how you need to start your morning you could add some.
Strawberry Mango Smoothie:
- 1 cup strawberries, hulls removed
- 1 mango, skin and seed removed
- 6 ice cubes
- 1 5.3 oz container greek yogurt (vanilla, strawberry, or mango)
- 2 tbsp. orange juice
- Pinch of salt
- Sugar to taste
Blend the first 3 ingredients in blender until smooth. Add the yogurt, orange juice, and salt. Blend until well mixed. Taste and add sugar as needed. Once everything is well mixed, pour into a large glass and enjoy!
The yogurt gave the smoothie a bit of a creamsicle flavor. If you don’t want that you can substitute ½ cup of mango or strawberry juice for the yogurt. That will keep the flavors more purely fruity.
